Fits 10 foot kayaks or longer. Add positive buoyancy to your kayak and displace bilge water. A float bag is essential gear for sit-in-side kayaks, particularly those with out bulkheads. Float bags can be used for both sit-on and sit-in kayaks. Most recreational kayaks do not have bulkheads. This can leave them vulnerable to great quantities of bilge water after a capsize. Select a size that will fit in front of your feet and secure it in place. Also, select a size that will fit behind the seat, the seat will hold it in place. Older kayaks, both sit-on and sit-in, may have the potential to leak, add float bags for an extra margin of safety. This bag is for a recreational kayak, but can be used in day touring, white water and sit-on-top kayaks, front or back, as will fit. The deflated size is 37 inches long 30 inches wide.
