Foam Touring Seat

Best used for kit kayaks, Greenland skin-on-frame as well as some classic kayaks such as Valley and NDK. Simple install with DAP Weldwood contact cement, or pressure fit into small cockpits.

Seat Bottom cushion, not including side hip pads, is approximately 16 inches wide by 12.5 inches front to back, about 1.5 inch thick max. The Hip Pads are articulated and will rise up along the inside of the cockpit, hugging the kayaker’s hips. Each hip pad, right and left is approximately 9 x 5.25 inches, about 1.5 inch thick max. Overall the seat pad is 26.5 inches when hip pads are flat as shown in the photo. Hip Pads are articulated and move like bird wings to fit you and your kayak.

This foam seat is contoured for maximum comfort. The seat bottom has variable thickness, shallow in some parts of the seat for a low center of gravity, thicker in other parts to hold you. Made of closed cell foam, will not absorb water.  SEAASSY VCP

This seat pad can be used to retrofit classic Necky and Old Town kayak seats. Use for classic Necky kayaks of the 1990s that had simple Close Cell Foam seat cushions. Use also for early model Necky kayaks, circa 21st century, that were outfitted with a metal seat frame and rubber cushion.
